Funded through North Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership CAST is being established to provide Advice, Support and Training to the Voluntary Sector in North Ayrshire. Supported by the Lifelong Learning Thematic group this pilot aims to do the following:
Provide a series of training workshops
Information sessions
Awareness raising of Community Planning Agenda
Sessions on various topics of interest to the Community and Voluntary Sector
Developing partnerships
Involving communities in the decision making process
Developing networks
Outcomes
Increase in the numbers attending and using their own community centres
Community/Voluntary groups gaining confidence in how/where to apply for funding
Disability awareness training for groups
DDA Compliance Health Check reports for groups who are looking at funding issues
Increase in information/better understanding on Community planning Issues
IT support/Demystifying IT for community groups
Evaluating this model of Community Engagement for the Community Planning Partnerships
